Deb's Story
I moved from White Bear lake to Nisswa in the Year 1982. My family would vacation here and stay in a cabin on the lake. I fell in love with this area and this is why I stayed here. I met my husband Mark Nelson who is a builder in the area and I was at the time a Certified Optician and worked at Midwest Vision. We married in 1985 and owned a small one bedroom house. orking and my husband and his brothers are busy building and remodeling and have been lucky enough to keep busy in this tuff economy. I have a small business that I do on the Internet called Dinglebee.etsy.com and I also paint wall murals in the surrounding area and recently I have been asked to illustrate a children's book. This type of work is nice because of the busy schedule of racing I can adjust and pack and unpack and not have to ask anyone for the time off. So currently I am at home. My sister in law is very much into horses too so we plan many a camping trip with the horses and other friends through out the summer. Also being so close to the Gull Lake Chain we all do much boating and fishing . We love to head to Leach lake for walleye in June when time allows. Well ,thats us in a nut shell, I hope I didn't bore you too much.
