Deb's Story
Life
Life has been an adventure filled with mountains and valleys, that's for sure. In 1983, I married Tim Anderson ('73 grad.)-we've been married 25+ years. We have 5 kids ages 25-35. (3M, 2FM) We've lived in Latin America for 33 years, 31 of them have been in Quito, Ecuador. We live in the Syracuse area every 5 years. We own rental properties in Central NY and return to live in 1 of them in Liverpool-where we currently are.
I spent a lot of years doing the baby/nursing/raising kids thing. I completed a dual Bachelors in Special Ed/Elem. Ed. and my M.Ed before I got married at 25. Then, many years out of the classroom. gist. (counselor). I worked 2002-2003 teaching Spanish at Liverpool H.S. Also in 2003, I started a Ph.D. in education, which I finished December, 2006. Am interested in being a teacher-trainer with emphases on special needs & diversity.
I became a Christian in college. My life took some major turns after that-good turns. I am a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God and a certified pastoral counselor. We have been career missionaries with the Assemblies of God since 1986.
As far as class reunions, they mean a lot to me since I live on another continent from most of you! I attended our 5, 10, and 20 reunions. I missed the 25th. I made it to the 40th. Hopefully, we will have a 50th with many still alive to attend!
