Deb's Story
After graduation I attended Briar Cliff College in Sioux City where I received my Bachelor's in Psychology and minored in Business Administration. In 1990, I took a job as a Resident Director at Wayne State College in Wayne, NE. This is where I met my husband, Bob Jacobsen. We were married in November, 1993, and will be celebrating our 20th anniversary in the next couple of weeks. We have 4 beautiful daughters. junior year of high school, Haley is a 7th grader in our newly merged middle school, and Nicole is in the 3rd grade. My husband and I left the college setting in 1995 and have been self employed as motel owners and operators. We have owned 4 different properties and have been at our current property for the past 11 years in Northeast Iowa. I do a lot of volunteer work and am a true "soccer mom" and my husband officiates many high school sports in our "spare" time.
