Debbi's Story
Life
You have all heard the old Chinese Curse: "May you live in interesting times?" Well, that's the story of my life. After I left high school to get married at the ripe old age of 17, I was into the whole "hippy, dippy, road-freak" thing. The marriage ended with me leaving to live in Canada for 6 mos to end an extremely abusive relationship. At age 21, I elisted in the Navy, where I spent 6-1/2 years, traveling all over the world and the good old US of A. During that time, I re-married and had my "JustIncredible" son who recently celebrated his 30th birthday. I have held numerous jobs and owned several businesses over the years and married two more times. The 4th time I got it right, but after only 7 years together, he died from lung cancer. riting and desktop publishing. My soon to be 6 year old grandson started school yesterday, and I cried when he got on the bus without looking back.
I've recently started dating again -- nothing serious, just fun stuff -- live music of all kinds, dancing and movies. I have no desire to re-marry, but would like to find another companion/best friend. I live in Towson now, and have grown to love the area. I'm 15 minutes away from downtown Baltimore, so I occasionally venture out for days of shopping and fun -- museums, restaurants, etc.
I have three cats (two sisters who are 15, and a 3 mo old kitten), as well as a 3 year old Pug. They are my children just as much as my son.
Life is a great adventure meant to be lived fully in the present, and that's exactly what I do -- love, laugh, dream and dance!
