MY LIFE
Hi!!
Wow! How time flies...
Well, what have I been up to since graduation....its amazing how fast life has passed...and how quickly it goes...I have been blessed with 3 wonderful kids and 5 grandkids...YES, I am a grandma and would not have it any other way
Well... as for my career, I worked as a cosmetician for about 10 years, then I was freelancing for a year when I decided to change careers and went into business to business direct marketing, which I loved. I enjoyed all the new challenges. I had the opportunity to meet many people from all over the states as well as making lifetime friends. Today I am an Independent Insurance Broker/Agent with Premier Insurance Solutions USA. I am enjoying helping Medicare retirement community find plans that meet their needs. It’s a very rewarding career and I have enjoyed every minute.
I look back now and realized that I was a little on the shy side...so if I did not talk to you much it was not personal. I was just very quiet back then.... not today...haha!! Hey, that is what marketing does to you!!
I really enjoyed high school, I have a lot of crazy memories... I don't know that I would do anything over again.
I did go back and actually took the time to read everything that was on my yearbooks- that brought back some memories. I also found a lot of pictures from High school and posted them on this website....check them out.
The teacher who inspired me the most would be Mary Kelley... she motivated me and inspired me in sooo many ways.
My craziest memory was bein...Expand for more
g a contestant in the MISS CORPUS CHRISTI BEAUTY PAGEANT (85) that was an experience I will never forget. Mary Kelley also encouraged me to try out for the Dillards Teen Board, I really had a blast on the teen board. I am very grateful for having a wonderful teacher who saw so much potential and so much faith in me..its very hard to find that in teachers today.
I really enjoyed being in the flags/band I would not do it any other way, all the fun we had at the pep rally and the football games.
Those Band members especially the drummers really knew how to get everyone dancing in the stands!!!
I have so many memories from High School that I share with my kids, and of course, I get to re-live High School through them even though they all attended Carroll...I am and will always be a die-hard MUSTANG!!!
I really had a great time in school. I miss everyone and I often wonder what happened to certain individuals, life does go on and we meet new friends but never forget the old ones....and Thanks to facebook I have been able to reconnect to a lot of you fellow mustangs...and have enjoyed every minute of it!!!!
I have also created on facebook a “Beloved Classmates” for Richard King HS. I started this for our graduating class of 1986 but then it took on a life of its own. It’s so sad to see how many of our fellow classmates have passed. If you get a chance, please visit and join the site.
Hope to see everyone at the upcoming gatherings, life is too short and we need to do better at keeping in touch.
Love you all,
Debbie Alaniz
