Debbie's Story
Life
I would have to say my life has been a blessed one though I am sure as an adolescent and young adult I felt life was tougher. I have been blessed with a happy and healthy marriage of 32 years to the same man, which many can't say that today. We have one, daughter who just turned 22 years old and who is making her way in the world. I have had the privilage to teach, guide, nurture, and support children from kindergarten through second grade in the field of education for the past 28 years. I have been retired for three years from publice education.. I currently teach Pre school at our church in Temple, GA and enjoy being with family and friends. I am active in many church activities, outings with friends and family. I have had a blessed life so far and look to be enjoying the rest of my retiement serving others to the best of my ability as God has been good to me.

College
I went to Andrew College in Cuthbert, GA. It was there that I met my husband of 27 years this July. I continued my education degree at LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA and graduated in 1976.
After David and I married, I got a job teaching, and we moved into our new home, I decided to go back to school and get my Masters in Education. Early Childhood Education was my major with a minor in Elementary Education at what was then West Georgia College in Carrollton, Ga. The name has been changed recently to The State University of West Georgia.
Workplace
I began teaching in 1977. After my first year, I went to work at a Daycare center. The year following , I began my career in teaching at Bowdon Elementary school in Carroll County Georgia and I am retired now from the public system and teaching at our church.
Sarah is expecting her first child so I will be a grandmother soon.
