Debra's Story
I have worked really hard. Have been blessed to have alot of different jobs. From insurance, working at Doctor's offices, being office manager, owning own business,and working at wharehouse, driving forklift's. Just a few things. First marriage,not so good. Ihad thought that I had married my knight and shining aromour. Nope. Second marriage,Great. Have been with him since 1983. Long story short he adopted children a year after we were married. Oldest is 37 almost 38. middle one is 33, and the baby is 24. I have been blessed again with grand-children. Oldest to the youngest, 17, 15, 12, 11, last one was born 9-11-2001! A baby girl (only One) Ava. The rest are boys! I hope I have shared some of my life with you ,it is very hard to talk about your self. Hope to talk to some of you. See Ya.
I was on the Jack Shreck Show. Our little group of ballerina's. We also tapped danced.
My first job was at L & K , where I got paid $1.25 to Tips. What I remember most about it is Restaurant work is hard. That was on Stringtown Road, Grove City. At that time their was nothing too much on Stringtown Road. Worked at Monterey Nursing Home. In between babysitting jobs. Had aplaster shop downtown Grove City,Taught art classes their also.It was beside of Douglas Theatre. Their was a place to go watch movies. My mother's friend Helen worked the concession stand.They would shut off Broadway in Grove City and have their Fair.OMG,seems like a life time ago.Grove City is so..o.....Big now. Sold shoes.At least I thought Idid. Worked at a Chiropractic office. Orient Devolpmental Center.Well this is enough for now. I love my family,God, animals,politics,what else is their? Nothing.
I share my home with family,friends, which I find wonderful.

When I lived on Ransburgh Avenue, Dad would bring home White Castle's. He only paid a nickel a piece!

Now, it is 2011! Wow, OMG. My oldest is a teacher, is 38yrs. of age. Oldest boy is 34yrs. of age. My youngest is 25. My oldest grandson is 18, driving. I don't live very far from P.V. and Westland H.S. It used to be country, not anymore. You have any questions ask me.

My current age is 58. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be smart. I was so completely wrong.
My best friend would tell you I'm compassionate, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as a smart ass.

I have traveled a lot, when children were young, from Seattle Washington, P.E.I. Prince Edward Island, Alaska, Yukon, etc. Wyoming was one of my favorites. I finally got my PH.D!!!!!!!!!!.. Excuse me got carried away, Ph.D Political Theory. Yeah Me. F.Y.I. Someone on the year book staff, mis-spelled my name. Then did not put down the activities that I was in. Just think if that happened to you. How would you feel? That is why no one can get in touch with me. The name in the year book under my picture is Debbie Burt, instead of Burns. By the way I do not want any comments! Thank God those days are over. Believe me I have been better off. Well, I'm back again. I have added a lot of different pictures. My dogs, my family, my life ! In my yearbook at Westland class of 1971, my name was always messed up. Very few times it was right. Mr Writsel V.I.C.A. it was right, D. Burns. Always C.Carter or something else. Even my Senior Picture the name was not right! Have to love people? Met up with my school pal in Florida, Feb. 2012. Sandy Kitts, had so much fun. Went to Florida in Feb. 2013 stayed longer, had fun. Husband and I and our Beagle Sable.
