Debbie's Story
Divorced after 29 years in Portland, Oregon. I have 2 wonderful children a boy and girl with 2 grandaughters and a grandson. Moved to Florida in 2009 after divorce in July to be near my long-time friend Connie-Gatewood-McIntyre and moved to paradise in Port Charlotte on the west coast and love the weather here most of the time. It seems as though no place is perfect but this is as close to living in paradise land as I have ever lived. I lived 2 years in Long Beach California by the beach and that was pretty nice too. I am enjoying life here and all Florida has to offer (which is alot) as I enjoy seeing new places and meeting new people. The Florida beaches and the Keys are incredible. just retire (with enough money) to travel all the time. I have went back to school for Medical Billing and Coding and I am very close to getting my certificate to start my new career from home(hopefully) or in a medical office or hospital. I am thankful for everyday of my life and always looking for new adventures and loving my family and my friends to the fullest! I love the family and friends I have left and looking forward to all that a new life has to offer me. I am so thankful everyday that I was finally able to move out of Portland and it is a great place to visit but I never wanted to stay and never want to live there again. Way too much rain and I need my sunshine to keep me happy! Loving Florida and the sunshine state!
