Debbie's Story
Well Here is an update on how I am doing and what I have been up to. I am now retired from working because I have a Terminal lung disease. I am waiting on a Lung Transplant. But it is not looking so good right now. I have accepted it and I just live each day to the fullest and I enjoy my grandchildren every chance I get. I have 8 of them now! They are all unique and SO AWESOME. I have Farmers Lung which there is no cure for. Last yr i had lung surgery and it just made things worse. I am on oxygen 24/7 and I move alot slower than I did a few yrs ago. I travel when I can. I love to fly and we go on a trip at least once a yr. I dont do well on road trips anymore due to so much nerve damage in my feet, Hey....I have had a full life...done alot...seen alot and still have at least another 3yrs left the Dr ...Expand for more
says so I am going to make the best of it. There are a few friend I would like to touch base with and hopfully will. I do have some friends here and family that suppirt me. Life is Good...I do know one thing for sure is that I am a Christian and God is good and he won't give me anymore that I can handle. I do not want my loved ones to cry over me when i go, I want a celebration of Life!!
My favorite way to relax..is listening to music and reading a good book. I love to sit by my gardens and read and enjoy a tall galss of lemonade or Iced Tea.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is MaryAnne Dunning, because was my best friend.
My Hero is my husband Patrick. He always makes me smile and he sings and plays guitar and his voce is beautiful He akes me happy when I get sad or scared/
