Life
Heading with glee into my 60's, I am married, a mother, a teacher of Bible History, (and all subjects biblical, actually)and a missionary/housewife. Actually, housewife is my least successful role, to date, but I have been giving it a go 35 years and maybe I'll get it right before we pack it off to the retirement village...
I am updating this to include that I am a cancer survivor as well as a heart attack survivor. I think that key word here is :Survivor. By God's grace and goodness.
I am a vibrant Christian with an eclectic past--(20 years a devout Roman Catholic, 20 years in a Charismatic Church, now part of a congregation of missionaries from 20 plus nations and just as many denominations.) then Hampton. Went to Penn State. Went to Bible school and traveled the globe as a single missionary. Married my gorgeous husband in 87 and we continued the adventure together. Had a son, joy of my heart, in 91. Moved to Northeast Scotland, pastored youth together for 5 glorious and challenging years in a fishing village.
Lived in Northern Thailand for 15 years, we have a social foundations assisting impoverish families, and in the midst of mid life everything and hot flashes in the tropics have learned to read, write and speak an Asian tonal language.I can definitely confirm that God has a wonderful sense of humor.
Still love to sing. Still love to swim. Still love to laugh.
Wrote 'Upon Love's Wings' in 2003. Sometimes I feel as if I have lived about 5 lifetime in one---and that is so far!!! Plenty of material for stories to come.
