Debby's Story
Can't believe how fast 50 years flew by--- I left the Ville in 1971for FW and found a career in accounting. Returned to the Ville in 1985 to pursue a degree from Tarleton(BS 1987) Back to FW --where I worked for some of the top employers in FW.--my favorite was Cook Children's Hospital( accounting/payroll). Married Danny Watson in 1981 and still going strong after 41 years. Danny retired from DFD after 44 years. I retired from TCU after 21 years. We returned to Danny's family farm in Bluff Dale this past year.. It has been an adjustment for me but Danny loves it. Kimberly (daughter) and her family bring our greatest joys! randchildren ,best ever son in law, and a host of recused dogs! My dad left this world for his heavenly home in 2007. Mom is still going strong. What does one do when they retire in Erath County? Find ways to make something a little better!!! My current volunteer role is trying to ignite some fresh energy into the Senior Center by encouraging baby boomers to join in the fun at the Center. Why spruce up my house when there is a Center where friends can gather to play 42, spades, etc. What will the class of 1972 legacy be going forward. Surely ,we can find a way to leave our mark again! Hope each of you are doing well!
