Debbie's Story
During and after high school I worked trying to pay for college. At this time in my life I don't remember much about High School, it is all kind of a blur, except I remember the fun people I got to know and spend some time with. My favorite parts were the pep rallies, and going out after games and getting to hang out with friends when I was not working. After going to Tarrant Co. Jr. College for a couple of semesters, I decided to become a hairdresser for about six years. Loved being around people and it was a great artistic outlet for me. Got married at 22, did not do so well at that one, got divorced and in 1979 moved to California where my mother lived and sold real estate. She got me into the real estate business and I found my calling so to speak. Stayed single for several years and had a blast, then met my current husband doing a real estate transaction for his family. We got married in 1986 and moved back to Texas to the Arlington area. o we now call our daughter because she came to live with us at the age of 12. My husband Larry, had two grown children when we married, I never had any of my own, but I claim all five grandchildren. Krystal is now 31 and is a breast cancer survivor. We all moved to East Texas in 1992 and I managed a real estate company in Longview, TX. In 1998 we ended up moving to Tyler, TX because we bought a commercial property and business in Tyler Texas and owned it for seven years. It was Fenton's Salon, and no I did not do hair again but I did enjoyed being around that property and business again. Sold that business in 2003, and went back to my first love of real estate. In 2010 I opened my own company RealEdge RealEstate in Tyler, TX which has now been in business for a decade. I have been a licensed real estate Broker since 1980.
This job gives me an avenue to give back to my community, serve others and enjoy constantly meeting new and interesting people.
Over the years my husband and I have enjoyed our family, our faith, traveling, and finding new and interesting people and places.
