Debbie's Story

Hello to my old classmates and some of my old friends. I went to Elementary school with a bunch of you, too, at Avondale Elem (1st thru 3rd) and East Chattanooga Elementary. (4th thru 6th). Then it was on to Jr. High for me at Hardy Jr. High. But I only got to go there for one year until my mom moved me, my brother Charles and sister Linda to Central High School, which at that time was grades 7-12. That started the years of being shy for me. I was a small fish in a very large pond! During the 10th grade I got moved again; this time to Kirkman Tech. I was in the business Ed department. But after Christmas during my 11th grade year, I was...wait for this... you'll never guess! moved yet again!! This time to Rossville, Ga. I attended Rossville High until the end of the year. Then...(You will never believe this one!!) we moved back to East Chattanooga. I finished out my school years at Kirkman. I never really had a lot of friends because my mother and step-dad moved us around too much. I hated the moving. But I survived. O...Expand for more
ne thing all the schools had in common was choruses. And I was always in them. I loved singing; I still do. And even if I do say so myself, I am pretty good at it. Thanks to God. If anyone knows of a place needing a singer, let me know!! I got married in July after turning 21 in June. He was a wonderful man and treated me like a princess. We had a son and a daughter and 4 grandchildren. Unfortunately, I lost him in 2010 due to brain cancer. I worked for the U S Postal Service for 25 years and retired in 2013. Life has been mostly good for me. There has been some bad, but mostly it has been a great life. I never used the job training I got at Kirkman, but I do stay in touch with a few people I met there. I am now searching for someone I can eat dinner with, go on trips with, watch tv with, and who wouldn't mind giving me a hug every now and again. I do miss the hugs. I hope life has been as good to those of you reading this as it has been to me. God bless us one and all! May 2015 be a great year for you, me and all! Debbie

For those interested
Went shopping with this guy for his eighth birthday. A little late, but it's all good. We also went to Chili's for dinner and of course some molten lava cake. He is one of the sweetest boys ever! Such a great little guy!
Please pray for my sweet little grand niece, Lilah. She has the flu. Scary stuff
