Debbie's Story
I moved to texas in the winter of 1980, (not sure what I was thinking) where my parents, (both deceased), lived.. Got married at 28, had a boy, now 22, Rob, he has moved out now, found my best friend and husband, Steve in 1990, when I worked for Courtyards by Marriott as restraunt manager, lived together for nine years with his 2 kids, boy and girl, and my son, then got married in 99. Had a Halloween wedding, I being Bride of Frankenstein and he being Frankenstein. Everyone had to dress up in costume to come! as well as the bridal party! 000, and recieved a assoc. of science degree in the culinary field, Hotel and Restr. management, have worked in restr. and country clubs, retirement and child care being the kid i still am, and with a good chef freind, in catering. I have since started my own business as a personal chef, after managing in others restr., decided I needed to be my own manager. Never thought I would become an Executive chef, but, Love what i do! Would not change it. Still happily marreid to my best freind. Belong to the Texas Chefs Assoc, the American Culinary Federation, and am the Jr. Liason in our TCA local Chapter. I love working with kids in high school, but glad mine are all gone. Just kidding!!!
