Debbie's Story
A lot has happened since high school. Went to Los Medanos College for 2 years then graduated from CSU Sacramento with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. While at CSUS I joined the Air Force Reserve as a medic in an Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron at Travis AFB in CA. Received my Commission as a Medical Service Corps Officer and am now a Major in the Air Force Reserve. Activated by the President in 1991 for Desert Storm and went to Saudi Arabia. d CA taking care of wounded soldiers for 1 and 1/2 years. The military has allowed me to see the world and give something back. Took up golf and biking over the last 20 years. Completed a 100 mile bike ride around Lake Tahoe in June 2008 and June of 2009 for the Leukemia Society-very rewarding. I love to work out at the gym and stay fit. Worked for the State of CA, Enron, and now manage energy efficiency programs for an electric utility near Sacramento. Love life and make the most of every day.
