Debbie's Story
After High School, I took some time off to discover and decide what I wanted to do with my life. I started working for US Bank my senior year of high school and thought since my mother had been in the Banking field for all of my life that was my thing too. I soon discovered that it was just not my thing...I left US Bank and landed a job at Group Health Coop in their medical records department. I started as a file clerk and 6 years later after working in Medical Records & Radiology Records I transfered to the Gastroenterology/Cardiology Departments as a Receptionist. I loved the Doctors I worked with but a friend of mine Jessica who worked at one of Group Health's satalitte clinics (Factoria) told me to apply for Patient Accounts Rep which I did and continued to work there and the Hospital in Accounts until 2002.
The most important thing I did after High School was in 1996 when I gave birth to my first daughter. I was married at the time but after 5-6 years of a very unhealthy relationship I left to make a better life for myself and my ...Expand for more
daughter Kaylee. I continued to work hard at Group Health and lived in a 3 bedroom apartment with my daughter and a roommate. I was perfectly happy being a single parent but one night my roommate and I were bored and decided to go into a chat room for 30-40's and started talking to a wonderfull man. I at first thought this is crazy and tried to get rid of him but he actively persued me and 4mo later I came to the beautifull Willamette Valley to see him after talking over the computer and phone for over 4 mo. Finally in Aug 2002 I left Group Health and moved to Lyons OR and we were married in Oct 2002.
In 2004 my husband officially adopted my daughter Kaylee as her birth father lost his parental rights.
In Nov 2003 we had a daughter Izabelle, May 1, 2006 we had a son Maxamillian and most recently we had a 4th child July 11, 2008 Hannah Alexandria. Our family is now complete.
I am currently a stay at home Mom and have been since my son was born and enjoy every min. of it. It can have challenges but my kids are what keeps me young...
