Debbie's Story

Life Hi everyone.... I have been in FL since 1985. Been working with the same City for 23 years now. I am currently the Purchasing Director, and I love it. It's my second home. I have 2 great children Nicole (17) and DRIVING (argh!!) and Joey (13)* soon to be 14 * and an avid soccer/basketball player...I have been married 19+ years. Look forward to hearing from any one out there... Love to keep up on all... Been to the last (2) reunions and we all had a "great time" More of you should make an attempt to come next time! I hope my friends remember me as a fun, loving, outgoing, free-spirited NUT who loves to laugh! I always wanted to be a bit taller when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a really funny idea. As it turns out, they were right!. As a great person who loved her family and friends.... who loved life and didn't let life rule her... she ruled it.... I'm going down....sliding into home base with the dirt a flying.... and a smile on my face.... showing that I loved life!!!!! Hmmmmm ...."Let it go!" That's it.... Life is to short, live long! Wildest thing I ever did in school was Beg my 7th grade teacher "Mr. Coe" to fix my report card because it showed an "Abscense" and I had NEVER missed a single day of school..... and when he did... I turned around a few days later and "cut school" with a group of friends and went "Skinny dipping" at Art Iron.... AND.... got caught mid-day.... It was funnnnnnyyyyyy..... If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have a good attitude, good people to work with, and freedom to laugh and be myself to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My hero is my mom.... she is an inspiration to ALL single moms.... she raised (6) great kids on her own from infancy.... and did a fabulous job.... I live in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and moved here in Jan 85' because I was bored at home... never looked back! The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Kevin Lenihan, because he's just a sweetheart of a guy and always has a SMILE to share with me.... and it's REAL!. Sports: Like em' Football and drag racing.... of course NASCAR is fun to watch... the crashes are wild! Reality TV.. if I catch it... Gene Simmons funny and Home Extreme Makeover is great! Pets: love my dog Midnight.... and my cat of 18 years was the SHIZ and I miss him so... my man FRISKEY!!! My biggest surprise regarding how life not always turning out as planned..... "Don't Plan!!!" You get "one day at a time"... enjoy it, live it, love it!!! If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the garage and add on a cabana to my back porch by the pool. My dream home would be HUGE with many bathrooms and guestrooms....... That you can raise them right! Mine are respectful and loving and nuturing to everyone and it warms my heart to see them in action.... Which teacher would I love to see... Mr. Katterhendrich!!! Health teacher,.. he was the BOMB... What a big ole' teddy bear... and Ms. Morrison... 8th grade Math teacher.... she had good insight and advise... If I won $100 million, I'd gi...Expand for more
ve part of it to charities of my choice, then spend the rest on a new home with property and play room, paying my bills and many of my friends bills OFF and just enjoying life simply with everyone!!!!!!. To be truly happy, you would be where, doing what, with whom? Pretty much right where I am right now.... with the exception of maybe a piece of that $100 million from above..... :-) My current age is 43. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be "hell I don't know... I wasn't thinking of people my age then. I was so completely enjoying being 12. Working hard? Reveal your career aspirations. My career aspirations are "RETIRING" at 55!!!! What happen to my first crush? He's still around! My best friend would tell you I'm crazy, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as crazier. Still dress like you did 10 (or 20) years ago? Talk style. I try to stay up to par with some of the styles.... I still blend! :-) You get one do-over. What do you do differently? Do-overs are not REALITY..... you get one chance... do it right.... that's the FAIR way!!! I share my home with family, which I find comforting, fun and wonderful!. In 10 years, I hope to be continually healthy and active. I'm going to get there by laughing and loving life!!!. Talk about your oldest friend—how you met and why you clicked. My oldest and dearest friend it Linda Matual.. I saw her for the first time in over 25 years (last sumer) and it was as if we NEVER MISSED A BEAT with our friendship... we laughed, hugged, cried, talked, you name it... didn't miss a beat... that's a friendship that means everything!!!!! Love her and the family.... What about you would surprise everyone at your high school reunion? That I haven't changed a bit... and haven't grwon an inch... maybe even beginning to shrink.... lol lol My first job was at a ababysitting job, where I got paid $100 weekend to watch 2 great little kids. What I remember most about it is the night the father came home in themiddle of the night and O.D.'d and died in the living room.... UGH!!!. Share a childhood memory you'll never forget. Mom ALWAYS have (6) piles of gifts under the tree at Christmas.... no matter waht it took....and something everyone had on thier Christmas list.... never missed a beat!! How do you hope old friends remember you? I like watching funny movies and love stories... I'm a romantic! I've learned from my kids that even though at times around the house they have "attitues" every now and again and can get snippy with thier parents... they really do carry around the values, manners and respect you teach them outside the house...I hear from my kids (friends parents) that they love my kids and they are so respectful and well mannered... etc... so at least they use what I taught them with others....and that makes me smile!! I have trophies, certicate of acheivements, diploma'es, etc... they are all little chapters in my life and when looked upon, you get that moment to go back and reflect... it's nice for that!
