Debbie's Story

Hello fellow alumni. If you remember me and knew me please contact me as deb tidmore on facebook. Take care & God Bless You. I get visits to my guestbook but cannot receive any messages. So-o if you remember me, please email me to get in touch. I have found that "all-access" here means nothing to me so I'm cancelling it. Doesn't benefit me at all so far. Say, if you are addicted to finding things which interest you online, go to Ancestry.com. Playing games or facebook is just as the soap says "Our lives are as sand in the hourglass, so are the Days of Our LIves". Too quickly I've found the sands of time past and here I am 50 years after graduating our ole mater.... and the building's torn down. Those of us with degenerative diseases know all too well that "upkeep" was forgotten on our school or it would be surviving as we all are who have doctors to take care of our bodies. Things have changed. Anyway, your ancestors are most interesting. I found Noblemen, Knights, a Princess, connections to Charlemange, A Baron/Knight for William the Conqueror, connections to the Royal Family of England, Lords, "Sirs", plantation owners, Sons of the American Revolution, Daughters of the American Revolution and men served in EVERY war of the United States since the Boston Tea Party. My Dad was in the Vietnam War before we came to Portsmouth in '69 and received 2 Purple Hearts and Medal of Honor. I lived in Portsmouth when Dad was in Portsmouth the first time when I was 9 and he ...Expand for more
was going to school on the base there. Some church people knew me when I was there then and when we returned again so they are family to me too. I was lucky in that I found Alice DeArmond living in Oklahoma City and we were neighbors in 1979. I've been in Oklahoma until 8-30-19. Alice divorced, moved back to Virginia and then found Tom Gable somewhere else in Virginia...and she passed on from this world. She and I and Brenda Taylor sat on the right side of our Senior English class with Ms. Hawkins....sure miss that red-haired woman. Brenda was in a community home in Virginia and passed the day before my 66th birthday 12-27-18. My one and only younger sister, Sherry, passed away 10-28-18. It's been rough losing Sister and BFF Brenda the same year. 😷 Larry Bilko is in Arizona and believe me ladies, you don't even want to try to talk to him. He's married to a green eyed one... you know the kind? Oh well. It didn't work out in High School and isn't about to even be a friendship now. His loss. Say, anybody know how to get the Jehovahs Witnesses to just leave you alone?????? I've been to church since I was 7 days old and I know God DEEPLY and CLOSELY and I wouldn't dream of bothering anyone about what I BELIEVE but I KNOW the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE and we all had our parts in 1971 and very good times. Time marches on and I wish you well. 🙏❤🙏 Good Health, Happiness, Joy, Peace and Love, Debbie Make new friends but keep the old, One is Silver, the other, Gold. :)
