Debbie's Story
Life
Deb received her Associate degree in Accounting from Owens Community College. Her career includes 12 years with the US Government closing up bankrupt credit unions and 12 years working at Rossford High School. Deb launched her own business in 1996 - ÂLeading Edge Resumes & Career Services" Deb writes resumes, cover letters and assists clients worldwide with career marketing and coaching. The business is now in the top 20% of all resume businesses in the US. Husband, Wendell (Â68 grad of Lake) is the Quality Supervisor at Pilkington in Rossford. s a nurse manager at The Toledo Hospital. Son, Matthew a '96 grad of RHS is a graduate of GMI Engineering / Kettering University, and did his co-op with Pilkington where he is now a Process Improver. Deb raised a third child, niece Erin M. Layman, daughter of sister, Rickie Michelle Tober Layman, now deceased. Erin is a '99 grad of RHS and a 2003 grad of BGSU where she received her BS in Social Work.
Deb volunteers with Read for Literacy and does pro bona work each month for individuals in need. She has published her work in more than 16 books and serves as a resume consultant for ExecuNet out of CT where she reviews resumes of senior-level executives nationwide.
