Debbie's Story

Life Well, I'm 57 years old so this bio could be pretty long. I 'll give the short version. SINCE GRADUATION *Went to Orange Coast College, began Early Childhood classes *Got married and had my first son *Graduated OCC with an A.A. in Child Development in 1982 *Since 1972, worked in Head Start as a pre-K teacher. I worked in this field until 1997 *1997, with two sons almost grown, I went back to school and completed my B.A. in Liberal Studies (2000), my California Teaching Credential (2001) and a Masters in Teaching (2002) These years were torture but well worth it. *When I was 45 I fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a singer. This was not as difficult as I had always imagined. I recommend to anyone who has a dream to go after it. My only regret will be not trying when I realized as a teenager that I could sing. It really was a shame that I waited so long, but I'm very lucky that I finally did it. For a while I actually earned money singing. *At this time, I have two gr...Expand for more
anddaughters, I teach 2nd grade for (how weird is this) Santa Ana Unified School District, right up the street from Saddleback High. I also spent 2 years at Hempstead High in NY, 1 year at Huntington Beach High in CA, and finally graduated from Saddleback High in Santa Ana, CA. I recently remarried and to a wonderful musician and I couldn't be happier. Now, if I could just lose the extra pounds I gained!! (Update: Lost 30!!!) Life would be perfect! I look forward to connecting with some of my classmates online or at any one of the three reunions I could go to. Hempstead High is closest to my heart, spending two whole years there after spending 8 years a Ludlum School. My husband and I recently got a puppy and he is adorable, fun and very well-mannered with lots of personality. Hope to connect with everyone who remembers me. I always wanted to be a singer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a longshot idea. As it turns out, they were wrong and happy to be so.

OMG!!
Have always loved this machine. Just got one for $40.00. It has been worked on and is in good working condition. Going to use it for my heavy duty sewing so that I don't stress out my Janome. Necchi, made in Italy.
