Life
April 2007:
I took my first airplane ride the summer after h.s. graduation to visit my sister in sunny southern California and I never looked back. I love it out here! Raised 4 wonderful kids while owning first, a gift shop, then a futon business, and last, an auto export company with the now-ex-husband. I have been happily divorced (we never should have married...I was way too young) for 5 years. I'm currently a call center manager at Kaiser Permanente, where I've been employed for nearly 9 years. Haven't got any grandkids, yet, although my daughter just got a puppy and I've been freaking her out by calling it my first grandbaby. I have been enjoying traveling. dating and finally got lucky a year ago after a number of misguided choices. I adore this man! Got my fingers crossed for "happily ever after!!!!"
September 2021:
Wow. Its been 14 years since penning the above so I decided to do an update.
Crossing my fingers actually worked! Paul & I wed on a windswept beach in Hawaii in 2013 and are currently enjoying our blissful 'happily ever after!'
After 19 years in a stress-filled managerial position I made the joyful leap into retirement at age 62. No regrets. None. I wake up each morning and smile.
I now have 4 absolutely adorable grandkids with 1 more due any day now.
I did make the trek to Alaska to see the Aurora Borealis.... 1 out of 3 ain't so bad. :)
Life is full. And beautiful.
