Debbie's Story
I went to work right out of high school, and went back to college later in my twenties. I met my husband when I was 29 and we married 1 1/2 yrs. later and have been married for almost 32 years now and have one child.(we would liked to have had more, but the good Lord only blessed us with one wonderful daughter) and now we have a great son-in law too!
I love my job because it's so flexible. I don't have to clock in at a spacific time and can change my days if needed to fit my schedule. We do restorations of old classic cars, ie: Bugatti, Duesenbergs, Auburns. I really enjoy seeing all the old cars and sometimes getting to ride in them and learning the history of them.
My boss is great to work for and pleasant to be around as well as the other people that work there. I do all the billing and pay bills and general girl friday stuff, but I like it, it's perfect for me right now.
I have one daughter and she was a missionary and taught Art and English as a second language in Hungary for three years and is a Art teacher, in Huntington Park now.
My husband has been a general contractor for 25 years, and we ...Expand for more
have lived in Orange County for 32 years. Looking forward to retireing someday after my daughter gets married and has kids, then I can babysit for her and be with my grandkids all the time!!
Well 4 yrs. have gone by, wow how fast time flies! I am now retired and spending lots of time with my two granddaughters and loving every minute of it. Plan to do some traveling and see some more of the USA!
Update 2016: We just moved to Kansas to be close to our daughter and grandkids, if anyone had said I would be living in Kansas some day, I would have laughed out loud!! But we like it here and it is so different from any thing I was ever told about this state, being it was flat and brown. We are in north east Kansas and it is rolling green hills and beautiful here, the weather can sometimes be severe, hot and cold, but so far we are happy to be here and so close to our daughter and grandkids. Love being retired and able to travel, we have a 5th wheel and are planning to see the east coast in the fall. I take the granddaughters from time to time and am enjoying being here for them and watching them grow up.
