Debby's Story
Life
I grew up in Houston and then "moved" to Odessa when I was 16 and met John, who's been my husband (hero) for 27 years. We have three living children - our youngest is 15. Our only girl. She's an angel. I told him I'd keep having babies until I got that girl. My boys turned out to be wonderful men, husbands and fathers. One of my sons lives here - within one block of us - the other son plans to be here within the next year. My daughter is still living at home, or course - she's an honor's student, and a club soccer player. I have two grandbabies - Allyssa and Audra. We live in Colorado Springs, and it's the best move we ever made.

lmost completed my Master's in Business. I still don't know what I want to be - I'd love to teach high school students, a geologist or a forest ranger but those jobs won't pay off my enormous student loans. I am thinking of opening a non-profit brain injury center here in Colorado Springs in honor of my brother. I'll call it Danny's House.
Life here is sweet and simple compared to Houston. Driving "across" town is only a 20 minutes drive - max. Hiking, camping and mountain walks are short trips. We have all four seasons. The weather isn't extreme (no extreme humidity here), no bugs, lots of wildlife - perfect. Almost - jobs aren't as prevelant.
