Deborah's Story
Life
I moved from Hacienda Heights to La Quinta, CA in 1979 and to Palm Desert in 2002. I took a brief detour to San Diego in 1974. I'm a director in health care management. My son, Andrew(29), holds an executive position with a Fortune 500 company and lives in Palm Desert. My daughter, Meghan(26), attended CSULB and then moved to Scottsdale, AZ to attend ASU. 78, but have been on my own since 1992. In addition to being a single mother, I took care of my parents until my dad passed away in 1995 and my mom in 1999. With my kids grown and my parents gone, I don't quite know what to do with myself. This is the next major crossroads of my life...the never ending empty nest syndrome. It's fine for now. I know from experience that there are things more lonely than being alone.
