Debi's Story

Life I am happily married and living in Western NC, a rural town called Purlear. My husband is retired military and working for the government. I have two daughters, Kari Lynn, she would have been 30 last Sep 2006 but was killed in an automobile accident in 1999. Our daughter Trish just turned 28 yesterday, feb 26th. I have a degree in Business Management and Paralegal Studies. I am not working now. I developed fibromyalgia in 1994 and have not worked since then. I spend all my time with friends and church activities. My father passed away last year and my mom now lives with me. My brother Ronnie still lives in BelAir and has his own electric company, Key Systems. I am a very blessed woman, I still keep in contact with old friends from EHS, military friends, college friends and have made new friends down here. God has filled m...Expand for more
y life with joy that I didn't think possible after Kari died. I don't take my friends for granted and I am very grateful. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Ms Pulaski, because she made me feel good about myself and my future. My best friend would tell you I'm funny, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as quiet. I share my home with my hubby, daughter and mom, which I find wonderful. My favorite way to relax is talking on the phone with friends or listening to southern gospel music I spend my time as a Guradian ad Litem for Wilkes County in NC. I am court appointed to speak for abused and neglected children. It's probably the hardest thing I've ever done and sometimes it's really hard not to take my cases home with me. But I think it is my calling to be a voice for children.
