Debi's Story
I'm the Manager of IT for the NYS Governor's Office of Employee Relations, and the former co-chair of the NYS Forum's IT Accessibility Workgroup. Right now, I'm also on the workgroup developing HTML 5 and I'm a member of the HTML 5 Accessibility Task Force.
I own and manage the online literary journal flashquake, and I have a private web design client base.
For the past five years or so, I've been apprenticing as a silversmith, studying jewelry design, and now I create custom silver and gemstone jewelry on commission....Expand for more
When I retire in February, I'll be joining two other silversmiths to form a design company.
In addition to drawing and painting, I'm co-authoring a nonfiction book on the craft of silver fabrication with my mentor, Hal Bosco.
I am not sure how or even if anyone will remember me, and frankly, I don't lose sleep wondering about it. I'd like to think that I did the best I could with what I had to work with. I've had a great career, an interesting life, and I'm happy that I can still reinvent myself any time I'm bored.
