Debi's Story
I moved to Phoenix in my senior year, went to NMSU for 1 semester, married Len Lafebre in 1971, had my daughter Lisa in Germany in 1973, divorced and moved to Arkansas, met and married my husband Steve Manire in 1978, moved to Iowa with Steve for Chiropractic school, had our son Ian in 1980, moved back to Arkansas, had our daughter Hannah in 1982, was a homemaker for years, went to college at age 35 and graduated with a degree in theatre arts in 1992. n 2000, I began a home business as a freelance theatrical costumer. I love what I do, but am really frustrated that the arts suffer so much for lack of funds, and it is my desire to start an Arkansas Costume Consortium so that all the struggling schools, churches, community theatres, dance companies, etc. could come together and share their resources. I think co-ops are the way to go!All my kids are great, Steve and I will have our 32 anniversary in June and life is truly a roller coaster ride!
