Hey all....well, getting all the emails about the reunion made me come back to this website; and being that I'm not going to make the reunion, I thought I'd stick a quick bio in here.
After high school I obtained my BSN and have been working as a nurse ever since. Although I have been employed in many different settings, I have primarily worked in pediatric oncology, that is, caring for kiddos with cancer. Yeah, it's sad sometimes (the first thing everyone asks!), but I really value the relationships I'm able to build with the families, and all the teaching I get to do. 'm renting a friend's 200-year old farmhouse since she's out of town the whole time I'm here - totally new for me, city grrl that I am! It's different and beautiful - should be interesting!
I was married and divorced; came out (I suppose that should be came out and was divorced!), was partnered, and two years ago ended that relationship as well. These days I am single and enjoying it; of course I miss some of the perks of a relationship, but you know, when you're in one you miss some of the things about being single!
I identify as a fierce feminist, a happy smart cute funny fat queer grrl. I'm glad to be who and where I am in my life. I'm thankful for the path that has brought me here, and look forward to the adventures ahead.
