to play in the evening while I work online. After starting the University of Phoenix in July 2004, my husband’s schedule was changed to swing shift. Although this change could have been debilitating, I chose to persevere, as I knew if I dropped the courses for convenience to my family, I would not pick them back up again for a long time. My husbands schedule will be changing back to normal shortly providing me with the opportunity to focus on my schoolwork without having to monitor all of the petty fights that little brothers have. I am currently employed at Blue Cross of Idaho as a Contracting Specialist. My specialty is the Medicare Advantage health plan product that Blue Cross offers to Medicare beneficiaries in the state of Idaho. I am responsible for having a comprehensive knowledge of the federal regulations and applying this understanding to the providers (physicians, hospitals, etc.) contracts. I review and write the contracts to make sure that the company is compliant with the federal guidelines. I thoroughly enjoy my work. I am one of the “weird” people who actually enjoy reading administrative laws and statutes, federal regulations, and OSHA compliance manuals. My personal life is quite exciting and diverse. I have many hobbies that continually keep me busy. I am an avid reader. I love to cook, although I hate to do the dishes. I love to quilt, sew and scrapbook. I am a recently retired soccer coach of three years. I coached several recreational soccer teams, despite never having played soccer and recently received certification to referee soccer.
