Deborah's Story
After my parents past away, we sold our house on Alonda Court, Hayward, CA.
In 2003, I moved away and now I live with my son, Michael, and his family. First it was Georgia for almost four years and now we live in Washington State. We've been here for nearly four years. Mike's in the U.S. Army.
So now I play a different role, as Grandma to three beautiful grandkids. And babysit while they're not in school which is right behind our house.
Michelle (13), the oldest, helps me during the day when she comes home from school.
I'm retired and living my life "my way".
7/30/2010 - After leaving Georgia in the summer of 2003, we moved the Washington State. We've been here since December 31, 2004, We now live at Fort Lewis; aka, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. When we first moved here the winter time it snowed. From the heat to freezing snow!!! What a difference.. Then the next year, it hardly snowed here for three years now. It only rained. Yep, the Evergreen State, is an understatement. I never go out anymore just stay in the h...Expand for more
ouse. I went to Seattle walked past the Space Needle then went to see the Bay they call the Pugent Sound. Yep, from the SF Bay Area to the Bay of the Pugent Sound. But last year (2010) I didn't make it to the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada, due to my son was deployed again (twice now since we lived here) to Iraq. He'll be home soon from Iraq and then we'll go to Disneyland, CA.
That's all for now, we've been here for almost four years maybe next move it'll be in Colorado or maybe Germany. Where we're going who knows. Maybe if we go to Germany I'll drive the Autobon 100+ mph and see if I get pulled over for speeding. Not, there's no maximum limit on the Autobon. We ended up at Washington State at Fort Lewis. The rainy state (The Evergreen State) well we'll see how does it holds up to it's name.
5/26/2011 Well let's see, what's happening? It hasn't snowed very much since we lived here. Man sometimes I wish we were in the sunny side of Georgia. I'd prefer the heat to the rain. That's "all folks". Aloha until next year.
