Deborah's Story
Life
After 10 years in Singapore, I now live in Orlando, Florida, and work for "the Mouse." At The Walt Disney Company my roles have ranged from new project development with Disney Development Company, Entertainment Manager in the Magic Kingdom, Cast Development (training) Manager for Walt Disney World Security, to my current role as a manager in Human Resources where I am on the Parks and Resorts Design and Development team.
My undergraduate degree is a BS in Music Education and my masters is in Business Administration.
I have traveled the world visiting over 60 countries - from the Acropolis in Athens, Greece, to Zulu tribes in Africa. I love riding elephants in Nepal in search of tigers to photograph, cuddling koalas in Australia, hiking misty trails up Mount Fuji, swimming with dolphins, sailing the Spice Islands,...Expand for more
drinking champagne in France, flying in balloons over the Masi Mara, tasting tea with Tibetan tribes, dining with heads of state, meditating with monks in monasteries . . . my life has been blessed in many ways.
I have not yet married, but I believe my prince charming is out there somewhere -- in training. I don't have any biological children although I have impacted (hopefully in a positive way) the lives of thousands. I regularly receive hugs and kisses and invitations to play or be an honored guest at wedding celebrations of those who consider me an aunt, mother, grandmother --- friend.
I have a cat named Zack who was rescued from a monsoon drain in Singapore and one name Annie rescued from a construction site in the city that Disney built - Celebration, Fl.
My goal each day is to bring a smile to God's face.
