Workplace
I worked my Senior year for Southwest Industries, a division of Ingersoll Rand on West Belt. I worked in the Purchasing Department. After I graduated I transferred to the drafting department. I loved working there. I met my husband tere at Southwest. He was born and raided in Louisiana. He graduated from St. Charles Borromeo in Destrehan in 1969 and then when he graduated from LSU he moved to Houston while I was working at Southwest. We got married in April of 75 and I quit and we moved to New Iberia Louisiana. We moved back to Houston after a year. Moved to San Antonio in 1980. I didn't work again until my younger son Jeffrey was in 3rd grade and I worked at the Elementary school that my kids went to, Stahl Elementary. I worked for the Pre-First teacher as a teacher's assistant. I really enjoyed my job working with the little ones. I quit at the end of Jeffrey's Junior year so I could be a School Parent his Senior year! I haven't worked since.
