Deborah's Story
Life
Went to college, dropped out to get married, finished college, had three children in five years. Have two grandchildren (7 and 3). Spent five years in Germany with second husband. We moved to Gloucester. Found out husband had inherited Huntington's Disease. Moved back to Newport News, now live in semi-retired community in Hampton for mobility for husband. I am chief cook, bottle washer, oil changer, lifting heavy things. I am the husband and wife. Husband in hospital bed now. But I have had a happy life so far. Happiness is a state of mind. r happy high school years compared to what the kids have to go through now. I would love to hear from some of you. I am housebound and this computer seems to be my best friend. My mother died last January. She was the backbone of our family. My father is the aloof type, My sister and are very close. Hear from my brother at Christmas. My dream after my husband passes on, is to bone up on my counseling degree. I am an old lady now with many experiences and I have learned to listen more than talk. Well, that is it in a nutshell.
