Deborah's Story
Gosh, where do I start? I guess to back a LONG time ago. After graduating high school, did a brief semester at LSU, then to San Jac for a while, and then on to University of St. Thomas,Houston, where I graduated in 1973 with a teaching degree. I also got married that year and moved to Austin in 1974. Really enjoyed the Austin life of lakes and water sports. After 7 years got a divorce, but still remained in Austin until 1989. I worked in banking while living in Austin, instead of pursuing my teaching degree. The field was overloaded with teachers and in Austin at that time, you needed to be bilingual. ddenly died of a brain anueresym. That was in 1997 and he was only 47. I moved back to Pasadena where my father lived at the time. Then I decided to pursue the career that I knew I was meant to do, teaching. The rest is history. I got a job right away after moving here and have been at the same school for 11 years teaching 4th grade. I love that age and since I don't have any children of my own, I get to adopt my class as mine for 9 months of the year. I do have two Siamese cats, that are siblings of the same litter, Ziggy and Zorro. Not that I don't like dogs, but cats are somewhat easier. I love the outdoors and anything that requires playing in the sun. I enjoy traveling with my friends and family. That's about it in a nut shell! (:
