Deborah's Story
I moved to Fountain Hills AZ in 2004 with husband Nick and son Nick jr after living in CA for 25 years. Tragically my son Nick passed away at the age of 22 in 2008. The worst nightmare a parent could ever face!
I am blessed to have had 3 beautiful children. My oldest son Jason has a successful business in SF CA & also is a part time actor. He has had parts on the Discovery ID channel " I almost got away with it" series. I also have a beautiful daughter Teresa & beautiful 4yr old granddaughter Valentina Nicole 4 yrs old also in SF CA.
I work at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix for the past 10 years in management. Love the job but can't wait to retire to be able to travel and spend more time with my family in CA. I moved my parents from Paterson NJ also in 2004 since I'm only child. I lost my dad in 2012. He was 87 when he passed. he always had good health until he was diag...Expand for more
nosed with dementia and quickly spireled downwards. His wish was to die at home so the last 4 months of his life was fulfilled at home with Hospice of the valley Phoenix with my mom and I taking care of him.
He protested leaving Jersey at first because he had his favorite Italian stores he couldn't part with but once he got used to the warmer dryer winter climate the happier he was. Now I am caregiver for my 85 yr old mom . She never questioned leaving NJ. She loves it here. We live in a small community where people are friendly and help and support each other.
I'M still a Jersey girl at heart! I still love the Beatles!
My husband and I enjoy dancing & enjoy the pleasant AZ weather and swimming in our pool. W e also love visiting CA any chance we get get.
We wish we could be there to celebrate my reunion
Not this time but look forward to the next reunion.
