Life
Hi everybody.......Class of 1978! Yeah, that would make most of us about 40 something, I guess. Can't believe it's been so long!
I have three biological kids, the youngest of whom is 15-a girl. My boys, ages 20 and 22, are as different as night and day. My youngest son is going to BTC for a small business management certificate, and working two part time jobs. The two kids, my daughter and youngest son still live with me and my daughter has almost completed her freshman year at BHS.
After a lengthy career as a hairdresser, I got burned out on the routine, so I got my NAR (registered nursing assistant) certificate and worked for a while in an adult family home with dementia clients. When that career didn't pan out as I'd hoped, I went through BTC and got my certificate as a Legal Assistant and now am employed in a local firm doing mostly personal injury, administrative, and probate law. I bought a horse last year who, after I bought her, had a tangle with a barbed wire fence and long story short...infinite veteranarian expenses and supplies, she has made a steady recovery now to the point that she's strong enough to ride again. I had horses growing up at home, but I sure don't recall all this responsibility!!! LOL
Been married and divorced twice. Finally figured out there must have been a common denominator in there somewhere, and maybe it was me. This independence thing is kinda addicting, isn't it?
I've run into several of you at different times and places in the area, and of course at our two reunions. Was disappointed to find out there would be no 25 year reunion for '78 grads, but our 30 year is just three short years away.
