Just saw Paul McCartney live in concert! (1 Aug 09) He was terrific, and, despite the football field sized crowd, surprisingly intimate. Cross another life goal off the list while it is still possible. In the PS I Love You section of the concert, you probably know that Linda McCartney is an SHS alum, Class of '59.
Saw "The Beach Boys" (Summer of 2010), except it wasn't really them. No comparison with Paul, who is still living and making new music. Don't know if I will ever get to see the Stones in person.

This is an interesting time of life for me. Working for the federal government in health statistics keeps me grounded in everyday reality, but am expanding my v...Expand for more
ision of my place in the world through outside activities. Am involved in a range of governance issues facing educational and non-profit organizations, at the board level, and to my surprise, from a business point of view. Not expected from someone with a science/academic background. Am doing my best to move things along and help make the world a better place.
Food
We craft a mouthwateringly tasty sorbet. Lemon is our specialty, and takes the most time to make, but the pineapple yogurt and tangerine are good too. Tangerine has given me an appreciation for fresh, seasonally available ingredients, because it is not available year round. A great conversation starter with a chef.
