Deborah's Story
After graduating from Kickapoo I attended Vo-Tech and became an Operating Room Tech. This provided me with the opportunity to go back to school. I graduated from Drury with my BS in Criminology, my intention was nursing school but decided Crim was more interesting. Over the years I volunteered with the Family violence Center,Probation and Parole then finally settled in as a Juvenile Officer. I also raised a great son that just joined the Air Force. He is married to his high school sweetheart. ...Expand for more
She recently completed her LPN and will continue with RN school once they are reunited. Once my son graduated from high school, I had the opportunity to go to work for the Office on Aging where I currently work as A Community Support Advocate. My life has been full and exciting. I never dreamed I would be in the fields I have been in since I was a bit wild or actually not much into the high school setting. However, my back ground was quite useful when working with juveniles and behavorial disordered children. I miss working with kids but I do enjoy working with seniors citizens. I am married to a great guy also a graduate of Kickapoo.
