Hi! This is wild! I ran across this website by accident and the curious person that I am, I wanted to check it out! I married in 1979, an urban cowboy, (from Illinois) and we had 4 children together. We were married for 29 years, until Jan. of 08, Steve died of a massive heart attack. The same situation as Tim Russert. We were very happy and very much in love. Most of my family is here in the midwest, (his side), and 3 of my children are either in college or working and living here. My youngest is a Junior in college playing softball on a scholarship. Her father was one of the coaches of her travel team for 3 years. I decided to sell my Calif. home in Granada Hills before things got any worse. My oldest daughter is an Interior Designer and she helped me stage (design is also my passion) our family home and so we had 3 offers in one week. I decided rather then holding out (and being greedy), I accepted one of the offers and I now find myself as a resident of Leawood, Kansas. We love it here! No traffic, countryside on the east and city limits on the west. Even though it is an urban setting, the "watch for deer" signs bring a smile. My number 2 daughter is a teacher for special needs children, and my son is going to be the kind of guy that works just enough to get by. He thinks he wants to pilot crop dusting planes. It must be in his blood, my dad had his private pilots license! I spend my time remodeling my house. I love to tile, I've put in wood floors, I've hung my own doors, and I love to paint and update interiors, sewing my own window treatments, etc...!
