Deborah's Story
Life:
I am divorced. Now living in Frederick City, Frederick, Maryland. I am a few weeks shy of completing the police academy here in Frederick, so will be a new officer by mid-June, God willing. It is by far the hardest thing I have done in my life, besides raise 2 boys, but a life long dream.
I have 2 teenagers, one 14 and one that is soon to be 19. My youngest is a freshman in high school. My oldest lives with his dad (and goes to college.)
Life is good. I am getting a second chance at alot of things in life and I am very grateful.
College/School
I went to the Professional Institute of Commercial Art. I went there for 2 years, got my trade/technical certificate and went to work. Since then I have taken a few classes at Frederick Community College.
I am now enrolled in t...Expand for more
he Frederick Police Academy, a 31 week program, graduation is June 19th.
Workplace
I used to work for a Horseradish Company in Baltimore, as their commercial artist...I left and did one other art job before becoming a receptionist for a Commercial Real Estate Company in Towson, Md. Then I stopped, and had 2 kids. Stayed home for 11 years and then went back to work for MAMSI Health Insurance Co. They were bought out a few years ago, and became United Healthcare. I worked there for 6 years and then finally decided to stop doing something I hate for a living and go after what I really want, so I am working for Frederick City, currently as a Student Police Officer, hopefully after June 19th, I'll be Officer Constantine (yes I am keeping my married name) of the Frederick Police Dept.
