More about Deborah:"I'm a native Californian and was born in Los Angeles and was raised in the San Gabriel Valley (10 miles east of LA). I went through grade school and high school in the city of El Monte (end of the Santa Fe Trail) where I lived for the first 23 years of my life. I have two older brothers, my oldest brother resides in the San Gabriel Valley as well, and my middle brother resides in the state of Missouri.
After attending Cal State LA and getting my B.S. degree in Criminal Justice (1979) and my California teaching credential (1981) I decided to run for the local school board. I was able, with help from friends of b...Expand for more
oth parties, to defeat a very popular incumbent. I had the honor of serving the district and its parents in the town that I grew up in.
I got married in 1981 to a girl that I knew since seventh grade, and have been happily married for 28 years. I currently reside in the Town of Apple Valley (home of Roy Rogers & Dale Evans). Apple Valley is located in, what is referred to as the high desert, and includes other towns/cities such as: Victorville, Hesperia, Barstow, Adalanto, Oak Hills, El Mirage, (partial list). We were blessed with a wonderful daughter, after years of praying. Next to my wife, she is the joy of my life and the apple of my eye.
I continued my education by getting my M.Ed. in Educational Administration in 1983. I’ve taught in both private and public education for the past 25 years and served as an administrator for four of those years. I'm hoping to further my professional development by getting my Ed.D in Educational Leadership.
I love to travel, which lead me to get my pilot’s license. I also enjoy cooking and eating fine cuisine. I also enjoy photography and am looking forward to someday retiring and photographing the people and places that I plan on visiting.".
