Deborah's Story
LIFE:
My life seems to play-out between two states:
In Michigan now (moved Jan.13, 2010)
In Texas from: Sep.09 - Jan.2010
In Michigan from: 1997 - Sep.2009;
In Texas from: 1981 - 1997;
In Michigan from: Birth - 1981.
My married name is "Malecki" (Voodre-Malecki), and I have three children, who are now adults. My daughter is married and lives in TX and my two sons live in MI.
I was born in MI, and married in 1973. We stayed in Michigan till my husband lost his job and he decided Texas has more to offer. We all moved to TX for 16 yrs. After I divorced in 1997, I decided to move (with my 3-children) back to Michigan, my hometown.
However, due the economic situation, I found myself unemployed. Moved back to Texas for support by my daughter's family. Then urgent matters called me back to MI in Jan-2010.
BIGGEST CR...Expand for more
USH IN SCHOOL:
Biggest Crush? Hmmm, I must say it would be Jim Pabst. He was in my Art Class, and did excellent work. Even though he was "Popular" and I was totally out of it, he was very kind to me. I was used to getting pity attention, except, Jim complimented me on my drawing. That was special to me, I needed that. I have always remembered his polite and kind behavior, never made fun of me (to my face).
WORKPLACE:
I worked as an Underwriting Technician for almost 12 yrs in Texas, moved back to Michigan after divorce, unable to find a similar job. Therefore, had to go back to Secretarial work, and accepted an Administrative Assistant position at Chrysler, worked until difficult economy forced many to leave in Nov. 2008. It was a great company to work for; and I've been fortunate to work with wonderful people.
