Debra's Story
I loved attending Southwestern for both my junior and senior high school years. It was awesome the way it sat on top of the hill and overlooked Chautauqua Lake, and I always thought it was pretty special that I got to go there.
After I left Southwestern, I went to North Park University in Chicago and graduated with degrees in Physical and Elementary Education. I got married, taught 1st grade in one of the northern suburbs, and then moved to a small town in Minnesota where we decided to raise our family. We ended up having three daughters, three sons-in-law, and eight grandchildren, and although most of them live pretty far away, we do our best to get together with them as often as we can.

itional 13 years in education, and then got a job as a graphic finishing specialist at a local bindery. My job at the bindery has been my favorite, by far, and I plan to keep working there as long as I can. Although my husband is retired, I don't want to follow in his footsteps anytime soon, but only time will tell.
Over the past few years I've had the opportunity to reconnect with some of my classmates and have really appreciated the time I've gotten to spend with them. I avoided my class reunions for a very long time because I just didn't know what to expect. But in the end, it was my loss, and I find myself hoping there will be another opportunity to see everyone again, whenever that may be.
I hope you'll let me know if you visit this site. I would really love to hear from you!
Blessings to all . . .
