Debra's Story
My current age is 56. When I was 12, I thought that people at my age now would be ready to retire. I was so completely right.
I moved to Arabi, LA right after Hurricane Betsy. We bought a house on Rose Street that we had to completely gut, I went back after Katrina and it was one of the few left standing. I went to St.Claude Heights back when it went through 8th grade, and then on to AJ for my Freshmen and Sophmore years. We moved to the Westbank and I finished my Junior and part of my Senior year at Berhman. I left school in January of my Senior year, married a guy in the Air Force, moved to Tac...Expand for more
oma, WA and didn't come back for 5 years. Divorced after 15 years and married Fred my love now for the last 28 years. Between us we have 6 kids and 8 grandkids. Life is Good. We now spend a few months a year back in Chalmette, and the rest of the year in our home on 40 acres just outside of Olympia, WA.
My husband Fred & I just bought the big Motorhome and are ready to leave the jobs behind. No plan other than to see what's around the next curve.
In 10 years, I hope to be ready to relax and enjoy our home in the woods. I'm going to get there by getting rid of this need to always be on the go..
