Debra's Story
After High School, I went on to College...met my husband in '76...got married, became an Army wife, moved to Germany from 1980-1982...Colorado from 1982-1987...back to Jersey in 1988 for a brief stay with Mom and then Florida where I've been since, except for moving back from 2000-2004.
Got my motorcycle license in '83 out in Colorado....before female riders were accepted!!! It's been a passion ever since...not a yuppie, poser wannabe biker either....and I can keep up with the best of them!!! That's my 6th and last baby you see in my profile pic...my Screaming Eagle Fatboy!!! Yea he hauls ass!!!
My daughter graduated Cum Laude from Fairleigh Dickinson getting her BA and MA at the same time!!! Way to go Jess!!! She is a high school English teacher. My son went to Tech School and got his mechanics degree, although that is not what he does for a living. He is a United States Marine. Yes, I am a proud parent of a Marine!!! My daughter is married and gave me my first and only grandchild so far...Violet Marie!! The best baby in the world!!! lol Can you say Proud Grandma??? Update...January 1, 2012...my daughter gave me a second grandchild...a little boy...Mark, Jr. Our little New Years Baby!!
I'm also an advocate for victims of domestic violence....and biker rights!!
I'm widowed twice...first in 1994...and again in 2006. My first was my children's father...we were together from 1977-1994 and produced 2 children. My second, although we never legally made it to the altar....we were engaged for 2 years...lived together for a little over 4 but we spent a lifetime together in those 4 years!!! Besides my first love, which coincidentally, was a Jim too, he was absolutely the love of my life!!! When we first met, I had told him my first l...Expand for more
ove was a Jim, his answer to me was and your last love is a Jim...so far, he was right.... I don't anticipate nor am expecting to have that ever again at this stage in my life. I'm content with my family, friends and my passion....my Fatboy!!! I am at my happiest when I am on my Fatboy!!! Like the saying goes...if I have to explain...you wouldn't understand!!!
Well that's about all for now...anything else, feel free to ask!! You may not like the answer, but I will give you one!!!
If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to Domestic Violence Shelters, then spend the rest on my family, my Fatooy and house.
I share my home with Pedro my Yellow Naped Amazon and Sierra, my son's puppy and his turtles while he is in the Marines, which I find exhausting at times. Update, Pedro passed away at 27 and the turtles, Samantha and Gurdy, also died at 25 and 45.
A couple of trophies for high series and game on bowling leagues and countless for both of my Fatboys, past and present!!! Can you say Trophy Ho??? lol
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Luanne Cocchiarella, my best friend, because she died way too young. RIP sweetie...I miss you dearly!!
Thanks for stopping by and Have a Blessed Day!!
And if you're ever in the Tampa Bay area, give me a shout out!!:)
I have a few heroes...The Late Great Indian Larry who was by far, one of the best bike builders ever to grace the Discovery channel. As a matter of fact, I truly believe he was second to NONE. And his fame never went to his head. He showed people what one can do with their life no matter what is thrown at you!!
All of our Military for they are the keepers of our freedoms!!! And of course, my children!! My Marine and my schoolteacher and my grandchildren <3
