Debra's Story
My family moved from Mentor, OH to Hilo, HI when I was in 10th grade. I loved living in Hawaii. It is a very beautiful place. And what a place to grow up! But it was hard also, being a haole (caucasian) girl from da mainland. I married, had a son, and divorced. My son, mom and I moved back to Ohio in '81.

Next, I worked for a Credit Union, starting as teller, advancing to Loan Officer. Following this, I worked as a caseworker for a Congressman.
I met the love of my life, Tom, 18 years ago. We both love the desert,(No snow, low humidity) and traveled out west over the years, looking for where we wanted to retire. ...so ...In 2001, we settled in Mesquite, NV, and in 2006, moved to Deming, NM, which is where we are now.
