Debra's Story
After graduation, I married Jim Weiss in 1972. Daughter Tracy was born in 1974 and daughter Susan was born in 1977. Had a rough 2 years after Susan was diagnosed with a congenital heart problem at 6 weeks old. Lived in Milwaukee until 1974, then moved back to Brown Deer until 1996, then back to Milwaukee until 2001. Worked at Success Business Industries for 16 years, The Howard Company in Brookfield for 3 years and Custom Products in Menomonee Falls for 3 years. After my mother passed away in 2000 and I was laid off from my job at Custom in 2001, we packed up and moved to St Petersburg, Fl to be near Susan and her husband, Dan. Pete to be near the rest of the family where she met her husband Michael. We have 2 grandsons, Tyler, age 7 and Ethan who will be 3 in September 2010. I now work for Supermedia, which is the official publisher of the Verizon Yellow Pages. We love it here without the snow and cold we left behind. We still get back to Milwaukee now and then to visit but not as much as I would like. Greatest accomplishment since we moved here......I just graduated Magna cum Laude from St Petersburg College on May 8, 2010. Didn't think I would ever get to go to college, but I'm over the first hump. Now it's onto a BA. Wish I had done it right out of high school, but I figure, better late than never.
