I married a nice fellow right after high school, and followed that path for about 10 years. After that I married a very interesting man. We have been through some stormy times, but we are still together 31 years later. We have a wonderful son, daughter, and grandson. Having kids completly changed my life, & priorities. It was a blast to watch my son run track, & play football, & watch my daughter run track, & play basketball. Now we look forward to watching our grandson do sports or whatever he chooses. Besides our children, one of my great joys has been dogs. Currently 4 rough collies are part of our family. We show them occasionally, but their value is in their companionship. Through the years, some of my best friends have been dogs. Acceptance, loyalty, and love- what more can you ask of a friend? For most of my adult life, I've worked as a medical technologist. I still work in microbiology. Sometimes it's interesting, mostly it's just a paycheck. I also taught high school biology for one year, but the school was on par with the one in the movie Dangerous Minds. I liked teaching, I just sucked at discipline. They threw my frogs out the window, and set fires in the trash cans, among other things. My dream job would be to work at home as a successful writer of novels, or screenplays -probably in the science fiction genre. I'm working on a novel for high school aged kids. I have to have a creative outlet or I go crazy. I like to paint watercolors, and have done all kinds of crafts from mosiac art to making candles. I've had a few bumps in my life.
