Debra's Story
Had my first child at the age of 32 and raised her for the first 10 years of her life. Then we met Reid and he had a daughter. We married in 1999. I had gone to beauty school and was working in a salon when one of my customers put her grandson into fostercare. he fostercare system. Some of the children have special mental health needs and some days can be very challenging. So now I have 7 children ranging in age from 25 to 8. I now work as a Foster Parent Recuriter/Laision. I help recurite foster homes in Skagit Valley and still work doing nails at my home (not in a shop anymore).The children keep me and my husband very busy with all their activities.
