More about Debra:"I grew up in La Crescenta, Ca but thanks to my dad, we moved alot. We went from La Crescenta to Ojai, Ca, to Redondo Beach, to La Canada where I attended La Canada High School for my freshman year only. That was the best time, and I made more friends there than anywhere else since. I miss all my old buddies! We moved back to La Crescenta, after my mom and dad divorced, and went to La Crescenta High for my sophmore year. h a psychotic Hungarian (mom's boyfriend, who I could easily write a book about!) I graduated from Hollywood High and high-tailed it out of there, to Berkeley, CA, to move in with my then boyfriend from La Canada, Peter McKibben.
We married, had 3 kids, divorced and I moved to Texas. I remarried, had another baby, and have been here ever since! Not the most EXCITING place to live because I miss the mountains, deserts, ocean, the wineries in Napa and Tahoe! But I have my lovely sister, my best friend, nearby so life is good!
My youngest daughter is now in college and for the first time ever, I am on my own! Feels weird...
My 3 older kids are on their own, doing quite nicely! Thanks to my son James and his beautiful wife Stephanie, I am a grandmother to 2 of the most amazingly charming granddaughters! They are 3 and 4 and so funny!
My only son James is in the Airforce and lived in Germany for 3 years, did a tour in Iraq, but recently came back to the States! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful family! For as crazy as I was in my youth, I lucked out and had fantastic kids!!".
